“When You Have Skillful Hands”: A Couple Turned Two Old Chests of Drawers Into Creative Modern Furniture!
Revamping old furniture stands as both an environmentally-conscious approach to interior design and a captivating art of rejuvenation. Eugene and Elena, seasoned artisans in this craft, recently embarked on a project involving two vintage Ganka chests of drawers from the 1970s, each transformed into a masterpiece.
The restoration process was meticulous, involving the removal of the glossy lacquer, meticulous repair of chips and imperfections, and the application of chalk paint followed by a matte lacquer finish. The original handles were retained, meticulously cleaned, and restored to their former glory.
While both dressers underwent comprehensive refurbishment, they emerged with distinct personalities. One dresser received a vibrant interior makeover, maintaining a minimalist exterior adorned with white patterns. The other dresser retained its original interior while sporting a striking geometric pattern on the exterior, breathing new life and individual character into the piece.
