“Too Much Photoshop And Makeup”: 63-Year-Old Sharon Stone Looks Different In Fashion Magazine Photos!
The latest issue of *The Rake* featured a cover adorned with photos of a rather polished and heavily retouched woman who, for some reason, goes by the name Sharon Stone. At least, that’s what fans are up in arms about, shocked by the radical transformations that are undoubtedly the work of computer wizardry.
Loyal followers of the star insist that the real Sharon Stone is far more stunning than this mannequin, who only vaguely resembles the Sharon Stone that drove moviegoers wild in *Basic Instinct*. In the magazine’s interview, Stone opens up about her childhood in Pennsylvania and the challenges of being a little girl under the crushing pressure of adults.
She has previously shared shocking details of her life in her book *The Beauty of Living Twice*, revealing that she endured physical abuse from her father and sexual harassment from her grandfather. But no matter what happened, she was always expected to “be a good little girl” and keep silent.
“Being the person who is expected to always be perfect, to never complain, to always do everything right, and to do so without any recognition is really dull. Being the silent, codependent girl is an unhealthy role,” Sharon confided to readers.
In her book, she reflects on both her professional and personal life, offering glimpses behind the scenes of her work with some of cinema’s most renowned stars.
Contrary to what’s often seen on screen, a convincing on-screen partnership didn’t always come from warm off-screen relationships. Paul Verhoeven once said that if Sharon respects her co-star, even the most challenging scenes will be executed flawlessly.
As for the 30th anniversary of *Basic Instinct*, Sharon looks back at the film through the lens of her life experiences. She has mentioned that it wasn’t until that movie that she realized she truly had a striking appearance. Yet now, she acknowledges the heavy burden of other people’s expectations that the role placed on her. The intense media attention and constant public scrutiny were anything but easy.
On the other hand, some fans speculate that the magazine itself is to blame for the excessive retouching. In any case, Sharon looks fantastic at 63, despite suffering a severe brain hemorrhage in 2001 that derailed her career and financial stability.
