It is a sad fact that dogs live a short life and every animal lover does his best to provide the best life for them. They prepare everything for them to feel comfortable and warm in their house and have joyful moments. This was the case of the poor shelter dog who had never felt a warmth or care but gained it in the last moments of his life.

The sweet dog Waston appeared in the shelter in a really deplorable state. The center accepted him but had no hope that he would survive. The stray animal was completely emaciated and had a cancerous tumor in his hind leg. He was tested and given antibiotics and every needed medication but all in vain. Unfortunately, Waston had a little time to live.

The shelter founder Janine Guido was heartbroken seeing the poor creature struggling for his life aimlessly. It was really painful and torturing for her to learn that the lonely pup was suffering. So she had just one thing to do – to make Waston feel comforted and rested in his final days.

Janine made a comfortable bed with some soft blankets for him to have a cosy place to sleep. And moreover, she did a unique and touching thing that hardly everyone could do for their beloved pet. She just lied next to the poor dog and cuddled him softly to support and calm him and just be with him in his disastrous and stressful time.

As Waston was a street dog he had never given such warmth and affection and he really needed it. So the woman was so kind and friendly with him speaking to him and comforting him. She didn’t want want to leave the helpless dog and she was just crying from pain seeing him in such a depressing state.

And the next day the tragic thing happened. Waston passed away and the woman was literally devastated. Though she knew that this awful day would come soon, she just didn’t want to believe it. She was with him till his last breath and was sure she gave him all her love and affection for the first and last time.

This is a real touching story but it proves that only a little love and care can heal one’s soul and be a great support for him. Janine is a real heroine for her kind and humane act.
