“Simple, But So Cosy”: An Old Lady Designed Her Home The Way It Is Better Than Any Expensive Mansion!

Allyson couldn’t believe she built her own tiny house, named Daisy, and was delighted with the result—a perfect retirement home.

Facing financial challenges seven years ago, she realized she couldn’t afford rent in retirement due to little savings and no pension from her company. So, she bravely and skillfully built her tiny home.

Daisy has a spacious living room, designed for Allyson to spend most of her indoor time. The sofa, crafted from Ikea shelvings and a mattress, serves as a couch and sleeping area, with removable shelves for storage. Allyson’s favorite spot is her red leather chair, perfect for reading and napping beside a radiator.

The house features a counter for working and dining, while shelves from a woodworking workshop and a small cabinet serve as her “office.”

The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking and even bathing Tucker, Allyson’s dog.

Broken glass and resin create a beautiful countertop, and storage is cleverly integrated into the white walls. The bathroom, although small, is innovative, with a decomposing toilet and a unique shower area using a galvanized basin.

The loft bedroom has safety handles for accessibility, ample natural light, and clever storage nooks for clothes. Allyson maximized every inch, including the space under the stairs for more storage.

Despite the limited space, Allyson created an outdoor haven with chairs, plants, and tall trees around Daisy.

This space allows her to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends, completing her little haven in town.
