“She’s gorgeous in front of the camera…”: 22-year-old “sunny” girl conquers the fashion world
Modern society is gradually turning its attention to people with special needs. We are also becoming more tolerant of people with unusual appearances, often accompanied by some form of disability.
The fashion world is no stranger to this. Just the other day, the news about 22-year-old Welsh resident Beth Matthews spread across the network. She was born with Down Syndrome, but still managed to fulfill her dream – to sign a contract with the British advertising agency Zebedee. The agency, established five years ago, specializes in working with people with special needs.
But do not think that if a person has such a feature, he can immediately become a model. They, like other people, must also pass the selection and demonstrate a strong personality and ability to pose for the camera.
Zebedee spokesperson Ella Singleton-Redmond spoke about working with Matthews.
“We invited Beth to the casting and she was just amazing in front of the camera. We need people who not only look good, but can also work on set in front of the camera. Beth is what we need by all criteria, ”Singleton-Redmond said.
The girl was delighted with this decision of the company. 19-year-old Ellie Holstein inspired her to the casting.
Ellie is a successful model who has been with Zebedee for several years, has posed for Vogue and worked with Gucci.
Beth Matthews turned out to be an unusual model and quickly attracted the attention of advertisers, appearing in a number of shootings. She even advertised clothes for weddings.
“We are all very proud of our Beth and her success. My daughter loves to be in the center of attention since childhood and is very purposeful. Now she just blossomed, ”said the girl’s mother.
“Sunny people” such as Beth are born 1 in 700-1500 people according to the statistics. Girls like Beth and Ellie inspire parents of special children to believe that their child will be able to find their favorite activity in the modern world.
