“She Had a Large Birthmark On Her Face”: What Does The Girl Look Like After 20 Facial Surgeries To Remove a Birthmark?
A woman, Danielle Lipple, aged 28, has opened up about her lifelong struggle with a vascular malformation, a birthmark, on her face. From the tender age of one, Danielle has undergone numerous laser surgeries, around 20 in total, to address the blemish.
While her parents raised her to accept herself, the birthmark’s potential for bleeding necessitated treatment. Despite feeling that the birthmark is a part of her identity, Danielle admits to experiencing moments of sadness, especially when strangers question her decision to seek treatment.
Although she was fortunate not to face bullying as a child, she endured curious stares and constant explanations from her parents. Her early treatments, facilitated by supportive parents, involved laser surgeries, which she described as a mix of stinging, cold, and heat sensations.
Subsequent surgeries, including sclerotherapy and plastic surgery, aimed to reduce the size of her lower lip, which had grown due to excessive blood flow. Despite the challenges, Danielle found confidence over time and eventually met her supportive husband, Zach, in college.
Five years ago, she pursued laser treatment to prevent potential complications. By sharing her journey on TikTok, Danielle hopes to foster understanding and encourage open dialogue about her birthmark.

Ultimately, she sees her birthmark as a part of herself and refuses to see herself as a victim.
