For over 19 months, Barney endured the discomfort and humiliation of living with a matted coat, deprived of the basic grooming he deserved.

The veterinarian sedated Barney for his own safety and proceeded to shave off the astonishing weight of 7.8 kg of matted fur. The poor dog had been living in excruciating pain, with the excess weight pressing down on his body.

The frequency of grooming varies depending on the breed, but Molly recommends a schedule of every 2-3 months, with more frequent grooming during shedding seasons to minimize fur around the home.
