The room initially looked like this in the photo. Of course, repair work was already underway at that point. We replaced the utilities, laid new floors, and performed other minor tasks. This photo was taken when the wall was still connected to the bathroom. You can see that the condition of the kitchen was extremely neglected: a broken sink, old metal dish racks, Soviet-era tiles. It was clear that repairs had not been done here for about 50 years.

Of course, the old furniture and finishing materials had a certain quality.  It is hard to imagine that IKEA furniture will last as long. However, due to the age of the renovation, the kitchen looked “tired” and outdated. Separately, it is worth mentioning the kitchen mixer, which was double and looked very strange. Another feature is the location of the batteries.

They were installed one above the other, and one of them was above the level of the kitchen table. It looked extremely unusual. After the renovation, the kitchen changed beyond recognition. It became compact, functional, and modernly equipped. The shades of furniture and materials are harmoniously selected, which gives the kitchen a fresh and attractive look.

The kitchen area is 4.5 square meters. This is quite small, but it was possible to find a place not only for the hob, but also for a dishwasher and a refrigerator. The perfect place was chosen for the latter. It is incredible, but from this small kitchen it was possible to make a comfortable and functional room in which any housewife will be pleased to cook. However, there are also minor drawbacks. I believe that the excess magnets on the refrigerator do not add aesthetics. I am also a little embarrassed by the silver ribbon that divides the space into zones.
