“From 420 Pounds To 180”: The Boy Known As “The World’s Heaviest Kid” Amazes Everyone With His Big Change!
Arya Permana, an Indonesian teenager who once weighed 421 pounds, had to bathe outside in a specially built pool due to his size. Known as the “world’s fattest kid,” Arya’s journey demonstrates that determination and goal-setting can lead to incredible results. Let’s delve into Arya’s remarkable story.
Arya Permana, now 17 years old, used to eat five meals daily, including rice, fish, meat, vegetable soup, and a traditional soy patty — an amount of food sufficient for two adults. He had to stop attending school because he would quickly run out of breath while walking. Unable to find clothes that fit him, Arya wore nothing more than a sarong for a long time.
Arya has transformed from a boy weighing 421 pounds to a much slimmer version of himself, now at 183 pounds. The Indonesian student has lost a significant amount of weight and has been motivating others to adopt healthier lifestyles. Ade Rai, his trainer, assisted him in learning about physical activity and a balanced diet.
Arya’s trainer mentioned that he initially weighed 187 pounds before his appetite drastically increased. Now, Arya is slimming down without losing his spirit, a rare quality even among adults. He has become a symbol of hope, inspiring others with comments like, “Even Arya can lose weight, so why can’t I?”
Arya combines a strict training schedule with a nutritious diet and medical care. His father, Ade Somantri, stated that Arya’s weight loss was achieved through medical care, a rigorous exercise routine, and a healthy diet.
Arya used to be unable to stand for more than a few minutes at a time. After undergoing a major operation to reduce his food intake, he can now play football and other sports with his friends and walk to school. We are so happy for him!
