“Effortless Shine!”: The Simple Trick to Clean Any Stove Grate!

A gas stove is an indispensable helper in the kitchen, but it requires regular maintenance. This is especially true for the grate, which is constantly exposed to grease and carbon deposits.
If you haven’t cleaned your gas stove grate for a long time, don’t rush to throw it away. Even in the most neglected cases, it can be put in order using simple and affordable means. To do this, we need the following ingredients: Laundry soap – 50 g; Dry mustard – 10 tbsp; Calcined soda – 2 cups; Boiling water – 2-3 liters.
Here’s what you need to do with them: Grate the laundry soap on a fine grater. Add dry mustard and calcined soda to the soap. Pour all the ingredients with boiling water and mix until a homogeneous mass. Place the grate in a bath or basin and pour it with mustard solution. Add boiling water so that the grate is completely covered with water. Leave the grate in the solution for 2-3 hours.
Use a brush to remove the softened grease and carbon deposits. If the dirt is old and there is a lot of it, then for a better effect, you can leave the grate in the solution overnight. And if you have a cast-iron grate, 2 hours will be enough. In addition to the grate, you can also put glass lids and baking sheets in the solution.
This method of cleaning the gas stove grate does not require the use of chemicals, so it is safe for health and the environment. It is also suitable for cast iron grates, which are considered the most capricious in care.
