Britain’s Most Tattooed Man: How Did He Look Before His Extreme Transformation?

In a world increasingly embracing body art, Mathew Whelan, a.k.a. “King Body Art,” stands out. With 90% of his body covered in tattoos and a penchant for outlandish hairstyles, he’s a testament to self-expression.

Mathew’s journey began with a simple bulldog tattoo at 16, a far cry from the man he is today. In 2009, he legally changed his name to “King of Ink Land King Body Art The Extreme Ink-Ite,” though “Body Art” is more commonly used. This transformation has seen him invest approximately 30,000 pounds in his ink-laden appearance.

Recently, Body Art took his body modification to new heights by undergoing a procedure to implant a silicone skull into his chest. This extreme step, along with his ever-evolving hairstyles, solidifies his reputation as a pioneer of body art.
