“She’s such an amazing person that our chemistry naturally happened on screen,” Leonardo DiCaprio said in 1997 about Kate Winslet. They have been best friends ever since. It was on the set of the movie Titanic in 1996 when both met for the first time. Back then Kate was only 21 years old, and Leo was 22.

In 2008, the actors  co-starred in the film Revolutionary Road, where they played husband and wife.

Leo was a witness at the wedding of Kate and her 3rd husband. During her divorce, he was helping her and babysitting Kate’s children.

When Leonardo received an Oscar in 2016, Kate was there and supported him.

“He is my closest friend in the world. He deserves an award.”

Kate believes that the longevity of their friendship was due to the fact that they never flirted with each other. Leo loves to work with Kate and says that they’re like “one machine that works great together.”
