On Wednesday, the 77-year-old Stallone shared a photo with his 55-year-old wife Jennifer Flavin and their daughters: 27-year-old Sophia, 26-year-old Sistine, and 22-year-old Scarlet.

“Holiday weekends are for family,” wrote the actor, reminding everyone that Thursday is the United States’ national holiday, Independence Day. “Love my family! Blessed!” commented his wife on the post. Since last year, Stallone, Flavin, and their daughters have been participating in a documentary project, “The Stallone Family,” which has already had two seasons. Sylvester Stallone is a father of five. The actor known for his iconic roles as Rocky and Rambo has five children: sons Sage and Sergio from his first marriage to actress Sasha Czack, and daughters Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet from his third marriage to Jennifer Flavin. His short second marriage to Brigitte Nielsen was childless. The actor had little involvement in raising Sage and Sergio, a fact he later regretted. “You realize that it’s not your work and successes that matter, but the life you create for yourself and the people who know you,” Stallone noted.

Despite the difficulties, Stallone and his eldest son Sage were on good terms until the 36-year-old’s untimely death in July 2012 from heart disease. “I had a lot to say. We cried several times,” Sage said in a 1996 PEOPLE interview about how working together on “Rocky V” improved their relationship. “After the movie, everything changed. We were ready to do anything for each other.”

Stallone expressed similar sentiments about family shortly after Jennifer Flavin filed for divorce in August 2022, and the couple reconciled a month later. “Sometimes I put work ahead [of my family], and that’s a tragic mistake that won’t happen again,” the actor said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
