An incredible photoshoot proving that there are no identical twins
Photographer Peter Zelewski in the new series of portraits Alike But Not Alike presented the idea of how twins can differ from each other with unconditional genetic identity. As part of the project, the man took pictures of more than 30 people. The photographer chose the streets of London for the shooting location,⁹ especially the ordinary “neutral city background” to hide the social status of the heroes.
Commenting on the design and results of the project, Peter Zelevski writes: “Despite the fact that all the twins were dressed the same, there are obvious differences in each pair. Their different facial expressions, emotions and poses prove once again that there are no identical twins”.
In the photographs, the characters are indeed dressed in the same clothes, they have similar hairstyles and poses, however, this is almost the only thing that unites them. In photographs, you can see that young models are more similar, while adults in appearance show differences in gaze, facial expressions, and this may indicate more serious distinguishing features regarding the perception of the world and temperament.
