Tiger Woods’ Son, 15, Stuns with First Hole-in-One at the 2024 PNC Championship!
Charlie Woods made a splash during the final round of the 2024 PNC Championship by achieving his first-ever hole-in-one on Sunday at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Florida. The 15-year-old golfer showcased his skill on a par-3 hole, using a 7-iron to land the ball in the cup. In the video of the moment, Charlie’s concentration was clear as he made a smooth swing and watched the ball’s flight path.
When the ball vanished into the hole, Charlie stopped mid-step, raising his hand with an open palm at waist level, a smile spreading across his face in disbelief. The crowd erupted with applause as Charlie turned to share an emotional hug with his father, Tiger Woods. Their matching red shirts and black pants created a memorable moment that paid homage to Tiger’s iconic style.
For Tiger, the achievement was deeply meaningful. “That’s one of the highlights we’ve ever had,” he said, reflecting on the occasion. He also highlighted Charlie’s progress, noting, “On the hole before, he made his first eagle in a previous PNC, and now he’s got his first hole-in-one. It’s a magical two-hole stretch. I’m so happy for him and the fun we had as a family.”
Although Tiger acknowledged that he’s not in peak physical condition for competitive golf, he was quick to emphasize his role as a reliable teammate in scramble-style play, where each player contributes their best shots to the team’s total.
Team Woods finished tied for the first-round lead with a score of 13-under 59, alongside Team Langer (Bernhard and Jason Langer) and Team Singh (Vijay and Qass Singh), setting the stage for a dramatic finish. In the playoff, Team Langer emerged victorious with a precise approach shot and an 18-foot eagle putt.
