A Woman Transformed a 215 sq ft Dacha Into an Amazing Summer House: Check What Is Inside!

In the 1930s, a small wooden cottage was built by a woman named Alma. Every summer, until the end of her life, she would come here for solitude, sometimes accompanied by her older sister and niece.

The following owners cared for this charming retreat for another three decades before it was passed on to its current residents. Out of respect for the original builder, it is still fondly called Alma’s Cottageā€”a name that feels timeless and sentimental. Iā€™ve always admired those who honor the past with such reverence.

The cottage includes a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and porch. From the outside, it looks genuinely petite. Elsa and her family bought this home in 2013. The style then was entirely different. The couple made a series of changes, infusing it with their personal tastes.

Notice how the color scheme and choice of furniture make the space feel more open. Elsa personally selected all the colors and dƩcor, while her husband handled the renovations.

The design is simple yet modern. Now, letā€™s take a look at the area surrounding the cottage.

Thereā€™s a cozy dining area with a view of nature. And to finish, hereā€™s a glimpse of this private cottageā€”a perfect getaway for a small family.
