“A Girl Whose Star Dad Died Just a Week After Her Birthday”: The Girl Grew Up To Be a Famous Model – Who She Is?

On January 26, 2020, the tragic news emerged that Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, had perished in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California, along with seven others.

The NBA star was traveling to a youth basketball game with his 13-year-old daughter when the accident occurred, sending shockwaves around the world. This was not the first time Kobe had used the helicopter; it had served as his primary mode of transport for several years and was the same one that had flown him to his final game with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2016.

Beyond his achievements on the court, Kobe also found success in business, having invested between $4 million and $6 million in the emerging sports drink brand BodyArmor in 2014. Coca-Cola later acquired the company for $5.6 billion in 2021, resulting in an estimated $400 million profit for the Kobe Bryant Estate.

Following her husband’s untimely passing, Vanessa Bryant stepped up to manage the family estate. Kobe married former model Vanessa in April 2001, and the couple had four daughters during their 18-year marriage. Their eldest daughter, Natalia, born on January 19, 2003, was someone Kobe envisioned taking over his company one day. Vanessa has shared that they often enjoyed binge-watching movies together.

On May 1, 2006, Vanessa and Kobe welcomed their second child, Gianna, who shared a close bond with her father and was often referred to as his female counterpart.

Now 21, Natalia is a college student at the University of Southern California and a professional model, having graced prestigious events such as the Met Gala. Additionally, she is pursuing her dream of becoming a filmmaker. In an exclusive interview for the 2024 Town & Country Family Issue, Natalia stated, “In terms of legacy, my main goal is just to be the best version of me that I possibly can.”

In recent years, her family’s wealth has reportedly soared to $600 million, largely due to Vanessa’s management of Kobe’s finances accumulated over his 20-year basketball career. Notably, the couple did not have a prenuptial agreement in place.
