Celine Dion was only 12 years old when she met 38-year-old Rene Angelil.

He was so enchanted by Celine’s talent that he mortgaged his house in Los Angeles to finance her first record.

Rene waited until Celine reached adulthood before proposing to her.

The couple lived in legal marriage until Rene’s death from cancer in 2016. Celine is currently raising their three sons.

“Rene was my only partner; I have never kissed another man in my life,” said Dion, who was recently diagnosed with a rare muscle stiffness syndrome. “They were a beautiful couple. Such a pity.”
