How a kind woman saved a hungry boy from Nigeria, and what happened to him after 6 years
Charity workers frequently travel to nations with low populations. Their objective is to help low-income families, especially those with young children, in whatever way they can. They frequently have food to eat in addition to a roof over their heads.
Food and drink can therefore add a few additional days to a person’s life. But there are also unique people who are willing to offer these kids a second opportunity at life. The charity’s founder, Anna Ringgren, had a similar personality.
She didn’t anticipate bringing home a baby boy after going on a second rescue trip to Nigeria. He was left unable to ask for assistance as he sat miserably in the middle of the street in the heat when Anna spotted him.
As you can see in this picture, she approached the malnourished youngster without hesitation and gave him water.
Anna drank the boy and then immediately sent him to a private clinic since he was too weak and needed medical attention. The baby’s odds of survival were slim, but he proved to be resilient and managed to survive.
After that, Anna knew she had to stop leaving him on the street because doing so would be pointless. She remained devoted to the youngster throughout his illness and really worried about his welfare.
The woman brought the youngster to Denmark as soon as he was well enough. He continued to be looked after by a nonprofit organization and was given the new name Hope, which is translated to mean “hope.” Hope has undergone a radical transformation over her years in a strange country. He developed into a joyful and upbeat boy.
He keeps up academically with his peers, and he likes to play football when he has free time. Hope primarily expressed himself via painting, for which his contemporaries started to refer to him as “Picasso.”
His paintings are quite artistic and show a developed worldview. The 7-year-old youngster is already producing works of art, and his new pals encourage him to pursue his goals.
The organization’s staff members searched for his family in the hopes that they wouldn’t care what happened to Hope. The truth was harsh and depressing. Nigerians with strong superstitions abandoned a 2-year-old boy voluntarily because they thought he was a witch.
Of course, it is difficult to condemn people without education, and those who are below the poverty line, but such an attitude towards children in Nigeria is common – in the lower strata of the population.
Hope himself knows his story, and still cannot look at the first baby photo without crying. Nevertheless, he is taught to treat his relatives without hatred, explaining the reason for such an offense.
In total, Anna Ringgren rescued about 300 children from Nigeria. Each of them got the opportunity to survive, get an education and become happy.
Each trip Anna helps another person to find a decent life, and someone to live a few extra days. She cannot change the fate of the whole world, but she is able to remain merciful and not indifferent. Thanks to such people, I want to believe that good always wins, because every life saved by her is priceless.
