Chinese couple Liang Zifu and Li Suyin have been living together already for 60 years. When they started their life, they had no money and a shelter. They could not afford to buy an apartment, and they couldn’t even rent a small one. Therefore, the pair built a family nest in a cave.

Under the stone vaults is a bedroom, kitchen and living room. Over time, they settled down and started farming – chickens and pigs. They were eating fruits and vegetables. And clothes and other necessary things were exchanged in a neighboring village for meat and eggs.

Soon, children appeared in the family, whom Lee gave birth to in the same place, in a cave. When the sons and daughters grew up, they moved to live in the city, but their parents remained here further.

When the provincial leadership found out about this family, they were offered an apartment in the town, where their children were, but the aged parents rejected. They say that for so many decades they were adapted to live in a cave. They like silence and solitude. Therefore, they do not want to destroy their peaceful period of life.
