A year ago, actor Elliot Page, formerly known as the star of the film “Juno” Ellen Page, publicly declared himself a transgender man. The actor shared that he was thrilled to finally embrace his “true self.” Elliot also spoke about the discrimination transgender individuals face daily and expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him on his difficult journey toward gender transition. Page gained wide recognition in 2007 when the film “Juno,” in which he played a teenage girl dealing with an unplanned pregnancy, hit the big screens.

Ellen Page’s acting career began several years before the release of “Juno,” which made her a global star. Prior to that, she had appeared in several films, including one in the “X-Men” franchise. At the premiere of this superhero film in Cannes, Page looked very delicate and feminine with cat-eye makeup and large stone earrings.

In 2012, Ellen dyed her hair from natural brunette to a darker shade. This beauty transformation also brought subtle changes to her makeup routine: she began using peach blush on the apples of her cheeks for a fresher look. The following year, Ellen returned to her old makeup habits, using dark eyeshadows and defining her lower lash line, as well as bringing back her favorite peach blush.

By 2017, it was clear that the actress was not ready to give up makeup entirely. She still wore subtle nude-toned makeup on public outings. However, her feminine dresses were replaced with sharp, masculine-style suits.

2020 marked a turning point in Elliot Page’s life. During the first wave of the pandemic, the actress spent time alone with her thoughts and realized that to achieve inner harmony, she needed to transition. At the end of 2020, the “Juno” star underwent a transgender transition and requested to be called Elliot from that point onward. In interviews, Page later admitted that he had felt uncomfortable in a female body since early childhood and had asked his mother for a gender change at the age of 9.

In the spring of 2021, Elliot Page revealed that he had undergone surgery to remove breast tissue, which helped him appear more masculine and drastically changed his life. In September of that year, the actor made his first public appearance on the red carpet after transitioning. Elliot’s social media accounts removed old photos in feminine looks; now, he proudly showcases his masculinity, posting photos with a toned torso.
