“The Photos Leaves Fans Surprised”: Can You Guess Who She Is?
Maggie Smith lived a fulfilling life until her last days. A recent photo of the 89-year-old star of “Downton Abbey” and the Harry Potter films surfaced online, taken at one of her favorite restaurants. Just seven days before her passing, the actress appeared to be in excellent spirits.
She visited Lemonia in Primrose Hill, dressed fashionably in a loose cornflower blue shirt, fitted jeans, and gray sneakers. Rather than styling her hair, she casually wore a headband to keep her locks from falling into her eyes.
Maggie sat at a small table, chatting with a friend. She ordered a traditional English dish—fish and chips—which amused some of the patrons, as it was a Greek restaurant. The acclaimed actress, known among friends for her love of wine and colorful language, was also spotted perusing the wine list.
A little spectacle ensued when Maggie turned her considerable talent toward a group of laughing teenagers, instantly transforming into her sarcastic persona, the Dowager Countess Grantham, or the unyielding Professor McGonagall, asking the “young people” to keep the noise down.
Maggie Smith passed away last week, on Friday, September 28. We also shared why the actress readily agreed to kill off her character in “Downton Abbey” and why her family was initially opposed to her acting career, despite educators recognizing her talent.
