The little kitten Martyr was found in a trash can in an extremely poor and horrible state. The helpless creature was abandoned there and appeared in a deplorable condition. She was suffering from a gangrene in her back paw and had broken her front leg.

But fortunately, her adorable foster mom did her best to recover her and help her gain health and strength. Though Martyr lost her paw because of the gangrene, she could overcome her diseases and become a lovely and happy cat. She just got all the love and care from her mother who rescued her and provide a better life for her.

And one incredible and shoking thing was discovered about Martyr just recently. The cute animal turned out to be a male cat! While most of the calico cats are female he is a rare exception!

Actually only 1 of 3000 calico cats is male and Martyr was considered to be a female before this extraordinary and amazing discovery.

Only X chromosome helps cats to have an orange and black fur which is typical for females as they have double X chromosomes. And this gives them a special feature to call them calico. So Martyr, as a male calico, is a real miracle!

So the unique animal is a rare creature and he gained a huge popularity due to his such a bright appearance. He became a superstar on the Internet being one of the 3000 calicos who is a special and wonderful.
