Animals can be as caring and compassionate as humans. A heartwarming sight of a worried goose waiting outside a vet facility as her lifetime lover has an operation.

Volunteers were alarmed when they saw one of the local pond’s resident geese having difficulty walking. So they made the decision to take the male geese for additional testing. The geese suffered a foot injury, and the veterinarian’s fears about his safety turned out to be well-founded. Surgery was the only way to save the animal’s life!

There was an urgent need for foot surgery as, most probably, his neighbour turtle injured him during the day.

It turns out that not just veterinarians were worried about the animal’s health. A strange guest was waiting outside the door as the medical staff was getting ready for the operation. The vets see another goose sitting there and recognize her as his loving partner right away. The goose seemed to have found her boyfriend and accompanied him to be at his side through these trying times.

She managed to go to the hospital and was waiting for her boyfriend.

Fortunately, the doctors performed a fantastic job, and the procedure went well. Soon after finishing their work, they unlocked the door to allow the two geese to rejoin.

She didn’t leave the doorway once while she watched the doctors do the entire process.

Although the male goose must remain at the facility for a little while longer, the staff is hopeful that he will heal quickly so that he may visit his loving girlfriend.
