Back in 1993, the Emir of Dubai, Mohammed Ibn Rashid Al Maktoum, had a temporary marriage (misiar) with a Greek woman named Zoe Grigorakos.
From this relationship, a daughter named Christina, later known as Her Highness Sheikha Mahra, was born. Raised in European traditions by her mother in London, Christina was a Christian until the age of 16, receiving financial support from her father.
At 16, she moved to Dubai, converted to Islam, and adopted the name Mahra. In 2023, Mahra had a wedding that captured attention, reminiscent of a Scheherazade fairy tale.
Despite her half-sisters’ stories of escaping from Dubai to Europe, Mahra is now often referred to as the most beautiful girl in the East.
