Reed Jobs was born on September 22, 1991, as the eldest child of the late entrepreneur Steve Jobs and his wife, Laurene Powell. He has two biological sisters and one half-sister from his father’s side. Interestingly, Reed was named after the college his famous father attended—Reed College in Portland.

Although Steve Jobs dropped out of college to start his own company, he made sure his son would earn his degree. However, practical business experience remained a priority for Jobs. At one point, when Reed was still in high school, his father introduced him to Apple executives and other high-level tech moguls, believing that spending time with such influential people would teach Reed more in two days than he could learn in two years at business school.

Reed was only 12 years old when his father was diagnosed with cancer, which sparked his interest in the medical field. By the age of 15, he had completed a summer internship at Stanford’s medical department. Reed later shared how difficult it was to continue his education after his father passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2011. Although Reed initially pursued medicine, his father’s death led him to change his focus.

In 2014, Reed earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and International Security from Stanford University and stayed for an additional year to complete a Master’s degree in History. After his studies, he joined the Emerson Collective, a philanthropic organization founded by his mother, where he served as managing director, leading efforts to fund cancer research. Later, Reed founded the Yosemite Venture Fund, which focuses on investing in new cancer treatments, a cause close to his heart due to his father’s struggles with the disease.

While Reed has dedicated himself to his career, his personal life remains a mystery—he is not married, and there have been no reports of any romantic relationships. Reed, like his father, prefers to stay out of the public eye and focus on his work, aiming to leave a lasting impact with his contributions.
