The canine director of the Evanston Animal Shelter Tanya Ohanian once was informed about a dog who was wandering in the street. She rushed to help her and took her to the center. But it turned out that this adorable animal wasn’t just a stray one. There was an interesting thing behind her story.

When the staff found a microchip and observed it, it became clear that the sweet cretaure’s name was Dottie. She had been lost 5 years ago and tried to find her family again. But as it was seen she failed and couldn’t get to her house again. So she was strolling aimlessly untill the kind people called the shelter. It was unkown how she could survive all that time but the fact was that she was now at the shelter waiting for her owners to take her.

Ohanian immediately contacted with the family who had lost their nice animal after discovering their contacts. And for them it was a real shock. Do you imagine how hard it had been for them to search for their adorable animal for a long time! And then being devastated they gave up and had no hope of finding her again! And now the call was amazing for them and they rushed to the place to meet their pet.

The family members were afraid about the fact that Dottie wouldn’t recognize them and they were confused about how she would react to their meeting. But what a wonder! Dottie immediately knew them and was thrilled. She hurried to them to hug and kiss them. She felt a great relax by being in their hands. It was a the most valuable moment for the owners and also for the dog who had been longing for being with them again.

After 5 years the sweet animal reunited with her owners who felt joyful and contented to find her and were sure they would never be parted again.
