The life of young Swedish girl, Inger Nilsson, took a remarkable turn when she won the role of Pippi Longstocking in a highly competitive casting, surpassing 8000 other hopefuls. In the adaptation, Pippi resides alone in the eccentric villa “Villa Villekulla” with her animal companions – a monkey named Mr. Nilsson and a horse.
