At first glance, it’s hard to believe that the photos below show the same nightstand. Once an old, lacquered piece of furniture with chipped paint, this nightstand has been transformed into a stylish piece in a modern Scandinavian style.
Marina, the owner, crafted a new base from furniture-grade wood using a jigsaw. She attached wooden slats to the doors, then used a sander to even the edges. On top, she added ceramic mosaic tiles for a fresh look. Old holes were filled and patched. Finally, the back was secured in place, and she added new handles to the doors.
The makeover resulted in a complete transformation. The nightstand now has a light gray finish with a white mosaic top—an ideal fit for a modern Scandinavian interior.
