Richard Gere Hit The Red Carpet With His Grown-up Son: What Does He Look Like?
At the age of 75, American actor Richard Gere graced the amfAR Gala Venezia 2024 at Hangar Nicelli with his 41-year-old wife, Alejandra Silva, by his side.
The couple exuded glamour. Richard opted for a classic black tuxedo, white shirt, and a black bow tie, while Alejandra dazzled in a semi-sheer mesh dress adorned with dark blue floral details.
The pair also made an appearance on the red carpet for the premiere of the film Wolves, which called for a wardrobe change. Silva switched to a flowing white evening gown with an asymmetric slit and paired it with metallic strappy heels. She wore her hair down. One striking red carpet photo captured Gere on his knees, bowing to his wife while she looked on with a smile.
At one point, they were joined by Homer, Gere’s son from his previous marriage to model Carey Lowell. Homer mirrored his father’s elegance in a sleek tuxedo and bow tie.
Homer, named after his grandfathers and also given the Tibetan name “Jigme” as his middle name, was born to Richard and Carey Lowell, whom he married in 2002. The couple divorced in 2013 after 11 years of marriage, yet Richard and Homer have maintained a strong bond and are frequently seen together at various events.
In 2018, Gere married Spanish-born Silva after a two-year courtship. They have two sons, Alexander and James, aged five and four, respectively. The couple plans to move to Spain with their children, as previously mentioned. Gere expressed his enthusiasm for living in his wife’s homeland, noting that Alejandra had made significant sacrifices and relocated to the U.S. for him. Now it’s his turn to live in Spain, and he’s eagerly anticipating the move. Last year, they were spotted house-hunting in Madrid.
