Seventy-four-year-old Richard Gere is enjoying a sunny vacation with his 41-year-old wife, Alejandra, and their two sons before relocating to Spain. The actor’s family is preparing to leave the United States soon to settle in Madrid. Alejandra Silva married the Hollywood gentleman in 2018, adopting his surname and becoming Alejandra Gere.

The couple has two children: 5-year-old Alexander and 4-year-old James. They have visited Alejandra’s homeland several times, and this summer was no exception—the pair attended a Maná concert at the WiZink Center, where Richard showcased his guitar skills by joining the musicians on stage.

This fall, Richard and Alejandra plan to make their move to Spain permanent. Last year, they were spotted in Madrid, searching for property in an exclusive residential area and exploring potential schools for their children. The couple has also spent considerable time in Mexico, where just a year ago they opened an eco-friendly luxury residential complex called “Xala” along the Costa Alegre coastline in Jalisco.

Alejandra also shared a heartwarming moment from their vacation, posting a photo of their children playing by the sea.

Richard has expressed his admiration for the Spanish way of life, the food, and the warmth of its people, as he mentioned in an interview with Vanity Fair. His decision to move to Spain was driven by a desire to be closer to his wife’s family.
