Nearly 70 Years Apart, Twin Brothers Finally Reunite in Emotional First Meeting!: Watch The Video!

The story of twin brothers George Skrzynecky and Lucian Poznanski began amid the chaos of World War II. Born to a Polish mother in Germany while she was forced to work in a labor camp, the boys were separated shortly after birth due to their mother’s illness. They were sent to Poland and adopted by different families, none of whom ever disclosed to them that they were adopted or that an identical twin existed, leaving the brothers unaware of each other for decades.

The truth about their origins only came to light in adulthood. Poznanski learned he was adopted while serving in the military, while Skrzynecky discovered adoption documents that created tension with his adoptive mother. Determined to find his twin, Skrzynecky turned to the Red Cross in 1960, but despite his efforts, the organization could not connect them at the time. He eventually moved to California, continuing his search and holding on to the hope of one day finding his brother.

After decades apart, the Red Cross finally located Poznanski in 2015 and informed him that Skrzynecky had been searching for him. At 69 years old, the brothers were finally on the verge of meeting. For both men, the moment carried immense emotional weight, as they had lived with an unexplainable sense of emptiness for nearly seven decades. Skrzynecky recalled, “All my life, I just want to know my family… I was thinking I’m never going to find him.”

The long-awaited reunion took place in September 2015 at Warsaw airport. When they saw each other for the first time, both were overcome with emotion and tears flowed freely. Skrzynecky shared his joy, saying, “I couldn’t wait to hug him and give him a big kiss,” while Poznanski, who had always sensed the presence of a twin, reflected on the importance of the moment: “I don’t care about winning the lottery. I just want to have my brother by my side.”

The reunion, captured on video, touched countless viewers worldwide, demonstrating the profound bond that twins can share even after decades apart. Their story is a testament to the enduring power of family and the human desire for connection. Having finally reunited, Skrzynecky and Poznanski have committed to embracing their remaining years together, making up for the decades they spent apart and celebrating the extraordinary connection that brought them back to each other.
