Jean-Paul Belmondo passed away on September 6, 2021. He achieved everything in his life by his own work. It seemed that he had no authority and the actor lives, guided solely by his own desires and needs. In fact, there was one person who guided by the magnificent Jean-Paul Belmondo. For him, roles, fame and fortune were not the most important things in life.

One day, Jean-Paul’s parents invited the actor Andre Bruno, who was their family friend, to listen to their son and decide if he has acting skills. Andre Bruno listened carefully to the guy and decided that he had no talent at all. However, Jean-Paul did not believe the famous actor and went to enter the Conservatory of Dramatic Art. Despite the first unsuccessful attempt, he was not going to give up.

The following year, he prepared thoroughly for the auditions and finally became a student. At first the teachers simply did not notice him, but Belmondo stubbornly, step by step, learned the basics of mastery. He starred in five or even six films a year, trying to gain much-needed experience for a young actor.

He worked with many talented colleagues and learned a lot from each of them- not only the skill of reincarnation, but also the art of relationships with people. He noticed more than once: the more talented and significant the actor, the more respect he treats his colleagues, not allowing himself to be neglected or demonstrating superiority. And only one person was a real idol for him. Although this did not prevent Jean-Paul from arguing with him and even doing his own thing.

The father of the actor, sculptor Paul Belmondo, was an indisputable authority and role model. The son was surprised at how much and hard his father worked, from morning until late night.

Paul Belmondo was born in Algeria in a poor family of Italian origin. He found his mission at the age of 13. He was able to pass the path from a student at the School of Fine Arts in Algiers to a famous French sculptor, professor at the Higher National School of Fine Arts.

Jean-Paul Belmondo saw how hard his father’s work was. He personally carried sand, kneaded clay, made molds, and left more than 250 different sculptures, about 440 medals and about 900 drawings and sketches.

In memory of his father, the actor always wears a gold medallion, which he made with his own hands. A massive ring that belonged to his mother is also on the gold chain with that medallion.

Unlike his mom, father never scolded or punished children, no matter how naughty they were. The actor’s memory will forever remember the moments when he posed for his father in his studio, and Sunday trips to the Louvre, during which Paul Belmondo told his son about the great artists and sculptors of the past.

Dad has always been an authority for him, although, due to his conservatism, he never praised his son, even at a time when he had already become a fairly famous actor. At first he was offended and upset, but later he admitted that his father’s attitude to the glory allowed him to avoid star disease in the future.

Paul Belmondo believed that it was more important for an actor to become successful on the theater stage, and not in the cinema. Cinematography was not a serious genre for him.

He starred in more than 100 films, he was known and loved all over the world. He achieved everything: fame, success, recognition, wealth. He had everything one can only dream of. The actor loved his work, treated his colleagues and fans with respect, but he never put his profession in the first place in life.

At a mature age Paul Bermondo was asked what was the most important thing in his life and he answered simply: “My family. My parents, my children, my grandchildren, my women.”

And Belmondo confirmed this not with words, but with his actions. He took care of his parents until the last day of their life, he was always in touch with his brother, sister and nephews, he was proud of the success of his heirs. And even though at the end of his life there was no woman next to him, the actor was not alone. He had children, friends, relatives, people whom he loved and who loved him.

Though his heart stopped beating, but his memory will live on, because people will admire the incredible talent of the great Jean-Paul Belmondo.
