On Thursday afternoon, Helena Bonham Carter braved the chilly London weather to enjoy some ice cream. The 58-year-old actress showcased her signature style during a stroll with a friend in the upscale Hampstead neighborhood.

The King’s Speech star wore a cozy fern-green wool jumper paired with a long, heavy black skirt featuring bright pink trim over navy leggings. She completed the look with a zipped blue cardigan, a dark blue scarf in a sky-blue checkered pattern, a light gray beanie, and black sneakers. Earlier this month, the Wings of the Dove actress was spotted enjoying a romantic walk with her younger boyfriend, 36-year-old Rye Dag Holmboe, while walking a dog in the same area. In August, Helena sparked engagement rumors after being seen wearing a sparkling diamond ring.

Addressing the 21-year age gap, Helena told The Times: “Everyone ages differently. My boyfriend is incredibly mature. He has an old soul in a young body—what more could you want? People are a bit scared of older women, but he isn’t. Women can be very powerful as they age.” Helena rarely opens up about her breakup with her 66-year-old former partner Tim Burton, six years after their split. The Crown actress hinted that she didn’t want the relationship to end, adding, “Some aspects of divorce are very useful.”

In November 2021, she admitted that it took time for her family to “adjust,” but now “things are really very good.” Reflecting on the experience, Helena said, “The cruelty of divorce is immense. But then there comes a point where you think, ‘Oh, I have a free week!’ Some parts of it I highly recommend.”

Helena also shared that she believes The Crown creator Peter Morgan offered her the role of Princess Margaret because she could relate to the public nature of a high-profile breakup. Although Helena didn’t reveal the exact reasons for her split from Tim, she stated, “Let’s just say, I didn’t leave.”
