Family is unable to come to their California house to save their dog

Due to the recent terrible California Camp Fire, a family was unable to return to their house, and all they could worry about was their cherished puppy Madison.

They hoped and prayed that he would be fine, but they were understandably very concerned about his well-being. They had no idea, however, how devoted and resilient their family pet was or that a guardian angel was watching over him until he could be reunited.

The family was able to go back to their home four weeks after they had been prevented from doing so because it was too hazardous, but they were shocked to see who had been waiting for them.

I’m overjoyed that Andrea was permitted to go back to her land today, and MADISON WAS THERE! He had remained to safeguard what was still of his land, and he had never abandoned his people! K9 Paw Print Rescue published a link on Facebook.

“When the Camp Fire grew, Madison’s parents were unable to get him home. They prayed and hoped he would be alright. Madison was waiting for them there when they returned to the lot where their former home formerly stood when they eventually received permission to do so, acting as if he were defending it. Never give up, they urged.

After the horrific fires, rescue worker Shayla Sullivan helped care for pets, including Madison, and she wrote: “I’m so pleased I’m crying as I write this! Through the flames and the storm, he didn’t give up! It must have been a LONG month for him!

The dog’s owner, Andrea Gaylord, described the reunion as emotional. Imagine the loyalty of standing there and waiting in the darkest of times, she told ABC 10. It was quite emotional.

It seemed strange to see him.

Shayla, an animal advocate, said on her Facebook page that she had searched for Madison after his owner reported him missing and had made sure there was fresh food and water available in the area until his owners could pick him up, but she had never really seen the affectionate dog.

Having Madison meet our truck was the BEST feeling, Madison said. “Seeing him was weird after feeding him for almost a month but NOT knowing he was for sure still there,” she shared.

According to Shayla, the homeowners intend to build a new home for Madison to keep an eye on.

I’m so happy Madison persisted; he has shown just how devoted dogs can be through his acts. And praise be to these animal heroes who are doing everything in their power to preserve the lives of people’s pets until their family can return to their native land.
