“From a Regular Guy to Barbie!”: He Decided to Become Barbie at 40 – What He Looks Like!

Rodrigo was born on July 30, 1983, in São Paulo, Brazil, to a Brazilian mother and a British father with Portuguese roots. His family was well-off, with his father managing a successful farming business that later expanded into a network of supermarkets, real estate agencies, and retail leasing. As a child, Rodrigo loved playing with dolls and often dressed up as a girl. His parents were supportive, and his father would frequently gift him Barbie dolls.

During his teenage years, Rodrigo was diagnosed with gynecomastia, a condition that causes the enlargement of breast tissue due to an excess of estrogen. At 17, he underwent his first surgery, medically necessary, to remove his developed chest. Those close to him recall that Rodrigo grew up shy and introverted, which made him a target for teasing at school. In his solitude, he spent hours watching TV, particularly drawn to Disney princess cartoons and dolls. Over time, he developed an idealized image in his mind, one that would become the driving force behind his future transformations.

Rodrigo Alves inherited a substantial fortune from his paternal grandparents, which allowed him to pursue further surgeries after that first one—eventually leading to a count well beyond fifty, with some sources claiming he’s undergone over 100 procedures. By the time he finished school, Rodrigo had moved to London, where he studied public relations at the London College of Communication. His ultimate goal? To become the “real-life Ken doll.” To achieve this, he underwent various surgeries, including a facelift, brow lift, rhinoplasty, silicone muscle implants, the removal of lower ribs to create a slimmer waist, and countless others. Rodrigo also had a predisposition to weight gain but disliked working out, leading him to opt for multiple liposuction procedures.

Fame soon found Alves, and he began appearing on talk shows not only in South America but across Europe. Numerous media outlets covered his story, and his photos spread widely across the internet. The “Human Ken Doll” was earning money from these TV appearances, only to invest it back into more surgeries.

Not everything went smoothly, though. At one point, Rodrigo’s life was in serious danger—after yet another rhinoplasty, he struggled to breathe, and necrosis began to develop in the facial tissue. He had to undergo emergency surgery to save his life. After this harrowing experience, Alves spent months in recovery, sharing his ordeal on various shows with the same zeal as before.

Today, 40-year-old Jessica Alves proudly declares to the world that she is happy, loved, and even planning to become a mother through surrogacy. Transitioning allowed her to not only reconcile with her inner self but also finally look the way she had always envisioned. Jessica, who has long been drawn to feminine clothing, now revels in wearing tight dresses that flaunt her surgically enhanced features.

Post-transition, Alves hasn’t been short of work—quite the opposite. Her unique story continues to capture the attention of TV networks worldwide. She has appeared on a celebrity cooking show in Romania, been invited to shoot a documentary in Belgium, and has participated in photoshoots in London and the U.S. for reality TV. Just one of Jessica’s appearances can net her £20,000 for half an hour of screen time.
