15-year-old Mitchell Miner is a boy. He just participated in the Iowa State Fair dairy kettle show with his cow Audri. Despite their effort and hard work, they only finished fifth out of seven. The two were worn out. When the boy’s father entered the room, they were both dozing off when he shot their picture. With the caption, “Our son Mitchell and his heifer after yesterday’s show,” the photo was uploaded. Over 15,000 people had liked the picture by the next day.

The mother of Mitchell Miner is Laura. I think if you spend that much time with kids, they’re going to perform pretty well, she told the Des Moines Register. She was raised on a farm, as was her husband. They desire for their children to feel a connection to their roots despite the fact that they currently reside elsewhere. To give the youngsters a taste of farm life, the family borrows animals for the summer. Mitchell Miner’s father is Jeremy Miner. We learned a lot from the farm, he remarked. These are the principles in which we have grown up, and we make every effort to uphold them. The dairy farm will welcome back Audri, the sleeping cow, as soon as the events of September are done.
