Before becoming a princess: a series of childhood pictures of the beautiful Lady Dee

Diana Spencer was born in Sandringham on July 1, 1961. She was Frances Spencer’s and John Spencer’s third child. Charles was born into this family three years later.

The majority of the girl’s childhood was spent in Sandringham. She studied while out for walks with pals. Parents actually liked homeschooling. Only after Diana reached adulthood was she sent to school. She attended Sealfield School first, then Riddlesworth Hall.

The daughter started being referred to as a “lady” when she was 6 years old, and her father started being referred to as a “earl” in the same year that the family relocated to the historic family castle of Althorp House in Northamptonshire.

Diana’s parents split when she was eight years old because they were not a happy couple. The kids remained with their dad.

John Spencer wed a second time after seven years, although the kids disapproved of his decision. When they were teenagers, they organized a true boycott against their stepmother by refusing to meet her, converse with her for extended periods of time, and even sit at the same table as her.

Diana wasn’t able to reconsider her connection with her stepmother until John died and after her divorce from Prince Charles.

She said to Rain McCordale, “I want to thank you for the affection you have given my father all these years. They became buddies after that till Diana passed away.

When Diana was 16 years old, she first met Prince Charles (1977). The two then met with Lady Sarah McCorquodale, her older sister.

Diana relocated to London a year later and resided in her mother’s apartment until she reached 18 and was given her own apartment.

Diana and Sarah were visitors at one of the country homes one weekend in the summer of 1980 when she witnessed Charles playing polo and he shown a significant interest in Diana as a prospective wife. Their bond became stronger over time.

Diana was eventually introduced to the royal family.
