An ill young elephant who had been abandoned by his herd found solace and vigor in a former service dog
It is believed that elephants are renowned for having advanced intelligence.
They are very gregarious creatures as well that thrive in their herd.
This is the picture of Ellie, a young elephant who was rejected by his herd due to a persistent illness. He had little hope of surviving in the wilderness by himself.
Thanks to the Rhino Orphanage volunteers, the helpless baby was saved and taken to the refuge in Zululand, where he was given particular attention and care.
Ellie was accepted despite the orphanage’s concentration on caring for rhinos, and the caregivers did their utmost to create a different milk formula because he had a milk allergy.
They supplied minerals and proteins to well-cooked rice. Ellie gradually put on weight and strength, and he overcame his sickness, but something was still lacking. He felt utterly lonely.
Ellie experienced mental problems as a result of not being able to communicate with his elephant family.
The employees were unable to assist the unfortunate critter with his social requirements.
But there was close assistance. The Duma, a former service dog, saved the depressed elephant from himself.
They instantly forged a new bond and became inseparable as soon as Duma arrived.
They enjoyed chasing one another while playing on the sand pile.
Ellie appeared joyful and cheered up. His new companion provided him with solace. He was able to get over his sadness and loneliness because of Duma.
