When Afshin was 10 months old, her parents entrusted her to her older siblings. Afshin’s sister accidentally dropped her on the floor. Fortunately, the girl survived, but Afshin’s neck was twisted 90 degrees. Local doctors tried to correct her neck with orthopedic braces, but all attempts proved futile.

Until the age of 6, Afshin lay on the floor, unable to feed herself and hardly moving. Pakistani parents heard from doctors that their child had cerebral palsy. One day, a famous surgeon from India contacted the girl’s parents, promising to perform a complex surgery for free.

Afshin’s older brother traveled with her to India. The spine surgery specialist was amazed that the girl not only survived but lived in such a condition for 12 years.

In 2021, a complex operation took place, with the surgeon at the operating table for 6 hours straight. After the surgery, Afshin stood up for the first time. Now the girl feeds herself independently, feels much more confident, and has even made her first friends.
