A dog who has lost hope of finding a home finds a family once and for all
Lucky, a beagle mix, was at the Greene County Animal Shelter in Ruckersville, Virginia. When he was first adopted, he thought he had found a forever home. It was March 2021, and he was just a puppy. The shelter’s report states that the family loved Lucky very much, but he grew larger than expected. He was returned to the shelter in September.
A Facebook post about Lucky talked about his wonderful behavior, his love for nature, children, cats and dogs. This post went viral and people started showing interest in the dog.Shelter representative Anna Swanson says that when Lucky was returned, he was very scared and anxious. However, days later, Lucky was adopted again, this time forever.
The new post said that Lucky already found a family once and for all. And all it took was for a family to fall in love.
