In 2019, he suffered a double stroke, prompting him to withdraw from public appearances, which concerned his son, who remarked that his father celebrated “his last Christmas.” In January 2024, amid legal disputes among his children, Alain was placed under heightened guardianship, restricting his control over his own affairs.

On July 23, the actor’s daughter, Anouchka Delon, shared recent photos of her father, showcasing him after a haircut and shave.

Anouchka also displayed images of a barber grooming the iconic star of world cinema. She noted that these photos were posted with Alain Delon’s consent and acknowledged his self-perception as handsome in these moments. “As they say, ‘the show must go on.’ Delon remains Delon—always beautiful, impeccable, and elegant,” she wrote alongside the images.
