On Lake Baikal, a dog helped save a baby seal, mistaking him for a puppy
Endangered animals can be rescued by both humans and other animals who are caring enough to assist others.
Today, we’ll represent you a remarkable tale of how a dog on Baikal saved a young seal by thinking that it was actually a baby dog.
A dog who mistook a young seal for a little doggie helped save him by any means. Their relationship is so cute.
A seal was nearly motionless when it was found by a family of Baikal-based meteorologists. While being transported to the station, Nick’s husky assisted. The dog probably thought the child was a puppy because she started to lick and comfort him. The patient opened his eyes as a result of this care!
The baby was given chopped fish, and upon inhaling it, he eventually regained consciousness. But seals feed while swimming. So, that wasn’t successful. Nika never ventured outside of her ward. The seal slept in the bathroom, and when he emerged on his own the next morning, Nick started licking him.
The seal was taken to the stones during the day to soak up the sun before being taken back to the washroom for feeding. The family tried to get the marine animal back to Baikal, and he even sailed for a half-kilometer before turning around. Umka initially had no desire to go from his family once more. On the third day, he swam away eventually.
Even though he was free to cruise wherever, he did not want to. The seal swam, seldom coming below the surface, and soon vanished from view. People suspect he ran into one of his own. He never came back again. The pup was upset but quickly discovered new charges—domestic goats—which she is currently caring for. She won’t offend them. We know that for sure!
