’80s Movie Bombshell Unrecognizable After Quitting Fame and Escaping Stalker Nightmare!: Can You Guess Who?

Heather Thomas, the 67-year-old former 80s bombshell best known for her role as Jody Banks in The Fall Guy, was recently spotted in Los Angeles taking a cigarette break. Dressed casually in white frayed denim shorts and a wide-brimmed straw hat, she showed off her tanned legs and her signature long blonde hair. While she has long since stepped away from the spotlight, Thomas remains a recognizable figure for fans of the hit action series.

Rising to fame in the 1980s, Thomas starred alongside Lee Majors and Douglas Barr in The Fall Guy, which ran from 1981 to 1986 and followed a team of stunt performers who moonlighted as bounty hunters. Her acting career also included notable roles in films such as Zapped! (1982), Cyclone (1987), and Against the Law (1997). After leaving acting, she transitioned into a career as a writer, author, and activist.

However, her Hollywood success came with a darker side. Thomas became a repeated target of stalkers, a terrifying experience that ultimately drove her to quit the entertainment industry. Speaking on the Still Here Hollywood podcast in March, she revealed that she dealt with “at least two” stalkers a week at one point, endured break-ins, and even received threats in the form of bullets and stolen funeral wreaths. In one frightening incident, she had to defend herself after a stalker entered her bedroom.

The safety concerns intensified after she became a mother, as she was determined to protect her two young daughters. Even after leaving acting in the early 90s, it took years for the harassment to subside. Thomas married entertainment lawyer Skip Brittenham in 1992, and together they have three daughters. Today, she lives a quieter life, focusing on her writing and advocacy work.

Her legacy as an 80s TV icon has endured, and in 2024 The Fall Guy was reimagined as a feature film starring Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt. Thomas made a cameo appearance in the movie, offering fans a nostalgic nod to the original series that made her a household name.
